Welcome to St. John’s United Methodist Church
Nestled in the St. John’s neighborhood of North Springfield, Northern Virginia, St. John’s United Methodist Church is more than just a place to worship. From our first service with 57 people on August 26, 1956, we have served our community and neighborhood and expanded the Kingdom of God to where we stand for 70 years. We’re a diverse community that welcomes people from all over Springfield and beyond, including many who join us virtually from different parts of the country and the world under our mission statement – Bringing Christ to Others and Others to Christ. Our focus is simple yet profound: to grow in our love for God, create community with each other, and find meaningful ways to serve our neighbors and the world. There is a place for you here. When we worship, connect, and make a positive impact together, we all get a better glimpse of God’s love.
Learning — Bible study is offered on Sunday mornings as well as on Monday evenings and Thursday mornings. Classes vary in curriculum and focus but everyone is welcome to come whenever they can.
Service — Mission activities are the heartbeat of St. John’s, and there is some outreach either locally, state-wide, nationally or internationally for every interest.
