United Methodist Men (UMM)

The United Methodist Men (UMM) at St. John’s are a dedicated group who provide opportunities for growth for all men of the church, spiritually, physically and mentally, while strengthening their Christian faith.

UMM activities emphasize fellowship and opportunities to examine issues through programs of interest to men. They organize and conduct special events including cookouts, trips to sporting events and biblically-based studies. The funds they raise support mission projects both in the community and those designated by the United Methodist Church. One community outreach is the popular outdoor Family Movie Nights held during the summer. UMM leadership and service are also an important part of all the other ministries of the church. St. John’s UMM are the sponsors for a Cub Scout pack, a Boy Scout troop and a Venturing crew.

Youth Fellowship

The United Methodist Youth Fellowship (UMYF) at St. John’s is a vital ministry for youth ages 6th grade to 12th grade. We are all about:

Having fun — Bowling, swimming, movies, lasertag, snow tubing, go-carts, corn maze, retreats
Learning — Bible studies, book studies, group discussions on relevant issues
Serving — Gleaning for food, Appalachia Service Project (ASP), 30-Hour Famine, family shelters, food banks
Loving — Loving God, loving Christ and loving each other in an accepting, respectful way

Youth teens have a Bible Study and lunch on the first Sunday of each month, 12:00 Noon to 1:30 PM in Donaldson Hall. Bring a friend!

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.
